Yes. Speech recognition, manual editing and export work without an MCP connection. An internet connection is required for sign-in, account verification and speech recognition.
Open Settings → Updates. Download an available update, then choose Restart and Install. You do not need to drag a new installer to Applications for each update.
No. They are separate products with separate subscriptions and allowances, even if you sign in with the same Google account.
