1. Who provides DF Editor

These terms govern the DF Editor desktop application and related account services. The software is licensed, not sold. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
2. The product and your account
DF Editor edits video using transcripts, framing, captions and exports. The current download supports Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 15 or later. A Google account and internet access are required for sign-in, account verification and speech recognition. Optional third-party assistants require their own compatible accounts and may have separate charges.
Keep account credentials and MCP connection URLs private. You are responsible for the material you process, permissions from participants and the instructions you give an assistant. Review automatic transcriptions and edits before use.
3. Free and Pro
Free includes Free transcription allowance and 2 computers. Pro includes 600 transcription minutes per month and 3 computers. Both include editing and export after sign-in. Allowances apply to the account across its computers; unused Pro minutes do not roll over. Removing a computer does not reset usage. Settings shows remaining minutes and connected computers.
DF Editor access is separate from Orcast and other applications. Promotional and demo access have their own displayed duration. During the launch offer, eligible new accounts receive 30 days of Pro automatically after sign-in, once per account and installation. The expiry is shown in Settings. Turning off the offer stops new grants but does not shorten existing access. No purchase is available during an active offer; after expiry, Free access continues and the user may choose a subscription. Test purchases grant temporary test access without collecting real money. Test access does not become a paid subscription when live sales begin.
4. Subscription and test checkout
Checkout is currently available only in Test mode. No real money is collected. The configured plans are USD 19 per month or USD 149 per year, excluding applicable taxes shown at live checkout. Live payments are not yet available. When enabled, payments will be processed by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record under its checkout terms. We do not receive your full card details.
A paid subscription renews at the selected monthly or yearly interval until cancelled. You can cancel through the receipt email or Settings → Plan → Manage subscription when paid access is available. Cancellation stops future renewals and keeps Pro until the paid period ends. A refund can end the refunded period's paid access. See our Refund Policy. Material price changes will be communicated before a future renewal.
5. Licence and acceptable use
We grant a limited, non-exclusive licence to use DF Editor, including for your commercial editing work, within your plan. Do not resell access, share accounts, bypass service limits, interfere with security or process material unlawfully. You retain your rights in your recordings and exports.
Open-source components remain governed by their own licences, which prevail for those components. Applicable notices, FFmpeg source and build information are included with the application. Nothing here restricts rights granted by those licences or applicable law.
6. Availability and responsibility
We maintain the service but cannot promise uninterrupted availability or perfectly accurate recognition. Keep backups of important projects and source files. We may restrict access for misuse or security issues; contact support if a restriction appears incorrect. Any limitations permitted by law do not exclude liability or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
7. Privacy, changes and governing law
Our Privacy Policy explains data processing. We may update these terms as the product changes and will communicate material changes. UAE and Dubai law governs, without removing mandatory protections or jurisdiction rights available to consumers in their country.
